Peter Lewis, started Fairview Metal Industries (FMI) in 1968 when he bought a steel manufacturing plant in Timaru. His resilience and spirit were tested when the factory burnt down three months later. Never one to give up, Peter and his team worked through a bitter winter to rebuild the factory and grow the company that we know today.
For over a half a century we have built a strong reputation for exceptional quality products, and genuine innovative thinking.
